Either you know who Moby is or don’t; if you don’t who he is perhaps a little music history lesson is in order. Back in 1992 a DJ named Moby released a self-titled album and began a musical journey that pulled him out from behind the turntable and allowed him to find his musical footing among other artists.

His first three offerings were not met with critical acclaim but his sixth studio album titled “Play” was a breakout success. Each one of the songs on “Play” was licensed for commercial use in movies, television and commercials. If you still don’t know who Moby is then you have been living with your hands cupped over your ears. The fact that his mood and style changes with each release gives him an opportunity to use his talents to make the music that people recognize.

Whether he is using electronica, ambient sounds or folk music his creativity reaches out to a world that looks for innovation in music. Techno music began life in the Detroit area during the 80′s, and featured the influences of the popular electronic music of the 1970′s. It brought this beat to the clubs. The basis of this type of music was the regular, pounding beats coupled with distorted synthesized sequences. Some of the best known early techno pioneers are Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson, sometimes going by the name the Belleville Three. They made music for clubs that was an urban take of the music of German musicians like Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. While Techno made it to the clubs in Chicago and New York, it was a largely underground style throughout the eighties.

Techno is basically electronic music, originally designed for dances. It combines the sound of classic German electronica with an American Urban feel. The music emphasizes the machine sound of electronic drums, especially the Roland TR-808, It is often based around repeating riffs played on bass line sequencers like the Roland TB-303. Contemporary music composers and artists use simple beat making software tools to create beats and techno music nowadays. A techno music maker is packed with all of the available functions and sound effects you need to create beats and techno loops. You can then easily export the music into high quality wav audio or even mp3s.

Techno has been associated with raves since the nineties. The idea of a rave is simply a techno party where like-minded techno fans get together and dance to non-stop dj mixes of electronic music. These parties have been extremely popular in Europe.
